Cefar has now acquired the Spanish electrotherapy and rehabilitation company Avances en Tecnología y Medicina S.A. (ATM). With this acquisition, the Cefar group has a total of 90 employees and an estimated turnover of 18 million Euro 2005.

This acquisition is an important strategic cornerstone in our continued growth in the European market, says CEO Mats Dörring. ATM has valuable distribution channels throughout Spain and now has the opportunity to develop further with the support of the Cefar group. ATM helps us penetrate the rehab market and strengthens our position in the consumer market.

ATM was established in 1988 and is located in Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid and Bilbao. ATM has an annual turnover of 4 million Euro and is one of the leading rehab suppliers in Spain.

The Cefar product range is continuously being developed and improved, including our accessories. We are now introducing a whole new line of electrodes, featuring the same high quality as before - CEFAR STIMTRODE. We still offer the CEFAR Flex, but we have renamed it CEFAR ORIGINALE. CEFAR Plus is no longer available.

Now we are launching the new generation TENS stimulators with a modern and more functional design. A new function is the CEFAR EASY TOUCH™ - automatic amplitude adjustment. It helps you to adjust the amplitude to reach the optimal level of stimulation by simply pressing a button.
All the stimulators are equipped with a larger backlit display and a pause function making it easier to adjust electrode placements. And of course, they are also equipped with self-check, timer, program lock, key lock and a program guide.

Cefar now also offers interference which is a well-known pain-relief method. The method is based on the same principles as TENS but this kind of stimulation form goes deeper into the tissue.
